Q. What is an AVM and how should I use it?
A. Good questions, the answers are in AVMs 101.
Q. How are the indices and other statistics compiled?
A. Each of the statistics is explained in Suburb Summary Statistics and Regional Indices/Statistics
Q. Where do I find documentation on the IDS Public API?
A. The API Documentation is available at https://developer.ids.io/ along with AVM public service v2 Integration Guide.
Q. What credentials do I need to connect to the IDS Public API?
A. IDS will provide you with an API key. This needs to be passed in the header with every request. The same key accesses the Sandbox and Production API endpoints. Refer to the API Documentation for details.
Q. Do I need to provide you with the IP address of my servers to access the API?
A. No. We do not currently run a client IP address whitelist. You can change your client IP address without having to notify us.
Q. What if I have encounter an issue with the IDS Public API?
A. Use the IDS Service Desk to open a ticket.

Postman
Postman has become the de facto standard for API testing. We use Postman internally for API development and testing and provide you with a Postman Collection to help you with your IDS API integration. This can be downloaded from the AVM public service v2 Integration Guide.
OpenAPI/SWAGGER
We publish an OpenAPI file for our API, again to help you with your API integration. These files can be downloaded from API Documentation.
